3What we collect

Information you give us

  • Account: name, email address, mobile number (required to register) and password (stored only in encrypted/hashed form).
  • Enquiries to a business: your name, mobile number, dates or number of people if you add them, and your message.
  • Messages to us: name, email, optional mobile number, topic and message from the contact form.
  • Reviews: your rating, review text and the name shown with it.
  • Business owners: business details you add or claim, contact details, photos, and the information you give to show you are the owner.
  • Plan purchases: the plan you choose, your name, mobile number and email, and the payment reference, amount and status we receive from Razorpay. Card, UPI and bank details are entered on Razorpay's checkout — we never see or store them.

Information collected automatically

  • Basic technical data our server receives with every request — IP address, browser type, pages visited and the time.
  • Listings you save and your login session (see Cookies).

4How we use it

  • To run your account and let you save listings, write reviews and manage a business listing.
  • To pass your enquiry to the business you contacted.
  • To take payment for listing plans, send receipts and keep the payment records the law requires.
  • To reply to messages and reports of wrong information.
  • To keep the site secure and prevent spam, fake reviews and misuse.
  • To understand how the site is used and improve it.

We don't use your data for automated decisions that affect you in a legal or similarly significant way.

5Who we share it with

  • The business you contact — receives your enquiry details.
  • Razorpay — processes payments for listing plans and receives the details needed to take the payment.
  • Service providers that help us run the site, such as hosting and email: CONTENT REQUIRED: list your hosting and email providers
  • Authorities, when the law requires it.

Businesses that receive your enquiry handle it under their own practices; we don't control what they do with it.

6Cookies and third-party services

  • Essential cookies keep you logged in and remember saved listings.
  • Google Maps — maps on listing and category pages load from Google, which receives your IP address when a map loads.
  • Google Fonts and the jsDelivr CDN deliver fonts and page code; they receive your IP address when the files load.
  • Analytics: CONTENT REQUIRED: say whether you use analytics (e.g. Google Analytics) — remove this line if not

7How long we keep it

  • Account data — while your account is open, then deleted within CONTENT REQUIRED: number of days.
  • Enquiries and messages — CONTENT REQUIRED: retention period.
  • Server logs — CONTENT REQUIRED: retention period.

8Your rights

Under applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, withdraw consent you have given, and raise a grievance. Email dalgateonline@gmail.com and we'll respond CONTENT REQUIRED: response time.

You can delete saved listings and close your account from your account.

9Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and hashed passwords. No website is completely secure, so please use a strong password that you don't use elsewhere.

10Children

Dalgate Online is meant for adults. If you are under 18, please use the site with a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we'll delete it.
